Clean Power For San Francisco: New Contracts
The new solar and wind projects will be generating power by 2030.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA â The Public Commission Utilities Commission announced Friday that it has entered into long-term power agreements with EDF Renewables, NextEra Energy Resources and Terra-Gen to help CleanPowerSF create renewable energy from new solar and wind projects by 2030.
Maverick Solar 6 is a 100- megawatt solar plant to be developed by EDF Renewables. The project will be built near Desert Center east of Palm Springs by December 2021.

CleanPowerSF will increase its volume of wind power by using the new Voyager Wind IV facility to be located in Kern County and developed by Terra-Gen in winter 2020.
