COVID-19 Reopenings: SF Allows Lap Swimming At Mission Pool
The Mission Pool has reopened in San Fransisco after the county met the requirements to move into the state's orange or substantial tier.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — As some COVID-19 related restrictions have eased in San Fransisco, the city's Recreation and Park Department opened its only outdoor pool for lap swimming Monday. All other city swimming pools remained closed.
The Mission Pool, located at 101 Linda St. near 19th and Valencia streets in the Mission District, will allow lap swimming on Mondays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with restrictions including a limit of four people in the water at any time, city officials said.
Swimmers are required to undergo a temperature check before entering the pool. One hour slots are available under reservation only for $7, and all attendees must be at least 14 years old.

San Francisco met the requirements for two consistent weeks to move from the red to the orange tier on California's COVID-19 risk assessing blueprint last week.
After moving to the "moderate" tier, the county saw an influx of residences flocking back to restaurants and shops over the weekend. Many indoor establishments that have been shut for months, were finally able to reopen at varying levels of capacity.
