One hears sea lions barking and smells the salty fog. Past Trish's Chocolate and the big trampoline but before the merry-go-round lies Enlightenment—part gift shop, part magickal destination. At the orangeish entrance one is greeted by inspirational banners and stencilings of a lotus, tree of life, and Hamza hand. Once inside the visitor may find within a plethora of stimulating merchandise from spiritual to apparel. I was able to browse a wonderful collection here that came off as something more than just clothing and wares. Emily, an employee here that I spoke with told me, "all the customers mention the [great] energy" in the store when they come in. Furthermore she elaborated that the management intended on making spirituality accessible. In fact the positive auras of this shoppe seemed to come home with me. Kristy that works at Trish's and frequents this shop said it was a, "great place to buy a gift for anyone". Enlightenment also has statuettes of various deities including Buddha and various Hindu figures, in addition to chakra trees. The elegant crystals sold here spark an immediate interest. The workers here are happy to give their recommendation for crystal correspondences. This is specially true for those using the stones for crystal magick. The stones are believed to have healing energies or in the very least look pretty and help focus on an intention to galvanize the change one wants. Each different precious stone has a correlation for various intents and purposes. Amethyst for example is said to have a strong connection with love according to the International Gem Society. There are also lanterns, clothing with Oms, Hamza hands, and Hindu deities. An employee also mentioned that sales were doing "very bad due to Covid" compared to years past. They also sell jewellery and singing bowls. Therefore if one is to visit Pier 39 this business is a must see for anyone with any spiritual inclination. It is accessible from San Francisco Municipal Railway's F streetcar from Market street towards Fisherman's Wharf, offboard at Pier 39 and walk down the pier to suite #G-F. If driving one may use the Pier 39 Parking Garage at Beach street and Stockton street. Unfortunately this store's online presence, "enlightenmentstore.com" was unavailable as of posting time, however they have a profile on the Pier 39 site.
