SAN FRANCISCO, CA — As we head into the new week, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.

But before we jump into Northern California's top stories, residents should expect seasonable temperatures and breezy afternoon winds to continue Monday across the Bay Area, but forecasters are warning of dangerous beach conditions, elevated fire weather concerns and gradual warming later this week, according to the National Weather Service.

"Breezy onshore winds expected each afternoon and evening through early in the week," NWS San Francisco forecasters wrote Monday.

"Gradual warming starting midweek, with increasing moderate heat risk for interior locations heading into the weekend," weather officials continued. "Elevated fire weather threat across the Diablo and Santa Lucia ranges this week. Hazardous beach conditions at the Pacific Coast with an increased risk for sneaker waves and rip currents thru mid-week."

In other news, a body was found in the water near the Golden Gate Bridge; a mass shooting at an unsanctioned event attended by hundreds left one person dead and six injured; an assault and robbery were being investigated as a possible hate crime; and an early morning earthquake rattled parts of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Plus, California is taking the Trump administration to court a third time over its attempts to tie crucial emergency preparedness funding to the president's preferences on immigration enforcement and election administration.
