SAN FRANCISCO — The speed limit on an arterial section of U.S. Highway 101 in San Francisco, marking the southern boundary of the Marina District, has been permanently reduced from 30 mph to 25 mph.
The change was announced Friday, June 23, by Caltrans and the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Authority. Signs with the new speed limit are now posted, Caltrans said.
The speed has been reduced between Van Ness Avenue and Richardson Avenue/Chestnut Street, Caltrans said in a statement.
