1. 2 NorCal Spots Named Among Greatest Mexican Restaurants In U.S. By NYT (patch.com) — San Franciscans can take pride in Californios being named one of the greatest Mexican restaurants in the United States, and the only Mexican restaurant worldwide with three Michelin stars. The New York Times list highlights Californios' locally sourced seafood and elevates Northern California's Mexican cuisine scene, alongside Richmond's Barbacoa Mejía and its celebrated pit-roasted lamb and regional salsas.
   

2. Pair Accused Of Harboring Police Shooting Suspect In SF Charged With Accessory (patch.com) — San Francisco readers learn how two navigation center employees are accused of helping a man suspected of shooting a city police officer evade capture after a Mission-area traffic stop turned violent. Prosecutors say the pair allegedly lied to officers and supplied the armed suspect with fresh clothes at the Bayshore Boulevard shelter, which serves highly vulnerable homeless residents, before police ultimately arrested him and recovered two guns.
   

3. Woman Spots Elaborate Scam Before Handing Over Cash, Suspect Arrested In SF: Police (patch.com) — A quick-thinking Redwood City woman helped police thwart an elaborate phone scam that led officers to track a fleeing suspect's vehicle into San Francisco. Working with San Francisco police, investigators disabled the car and arrested a Fresno man on suspicion of financial elder abuse and related fraud charges, while the victim kept all her money.
   

4. Video shows SF Muni driver appearing to fall asleep before train crash (ktvu.com) — A San Francisco Muni video shows an L Taraval operator apparently falling asleep just before colliding with another train near 47th Avenue and Wawona Street, though no passengers were hurt. SFMTA says fatigue-related operator error is the likely cause and has pulled the driver from service during an investigation. The incident follows a similar fatigue case on an N Judah train last year, raising fresh concerns about Muni safety.
   

5. San Francisco crypto trading fund cofounder convicted of fraud (mercurynews.com) — A San Francisco-based cryptocurrency trading fund cofounder has been convicted of defrauding more than 20 investors out of nearly $1 million. Federal prosecutors said Japheth Dillman, a San Francisco resident, misled backers about an automated trading tool and instead used their money for personal pay and risky crypto bets. He faces a potential prison sentence and fine at a December 8 hearing.
