The kitten is now under veterinary care as officials monitor its recovery, highlighting the city's ongoing efforts to protect vulnerable animals on local roads and in nearby neighborhoods.

Driver Arrested For Vehicular Manslaughter In Fatal SF Pedestrian Crash: Police (patch.com) — San Francisco police arrested 50-year-old resident Isaac Bowler on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter after a July 14 crash on Sixth Street that killed a pedestrian. Investigators say he failed to exercise due care for a pedestrian and lacked proof of insurance, and they are asking anyone with information to contact SFPD as the case continues.
