SFPD investigating possible link between early-morning robbery, shooting (ktvu.com) — San Francisco police are investigating whether a pre-dawn burglary on 22nd Avenue in the Outer Sunset is connected to a shooting minutes later on 47th Avenue in the Vista Del Mar area. Officers say the burglary suspect fled before they arrived, while the shooting victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, and they're asking anyone with information to contact SFPD.
   

2. Good Neighbor Week kicks off in San Francisco (nbcbayarea.com) — San Francisco's Good Neighbor Week has kicked off at Civic Center, celebrating residents who strengthen connections across all city districts and encouraging neighbors to get involved. Events, cleanups, and neighborhood associations are using the week to spark conversations about what people want to improve and protect in their communities, with organizers stressing simple acts of kindness and regular volunteer efforts.
   

3. Silicon Valley AI academy opens free path beyond college (latination.com) — A new venture-backed AI academy is setting up an in-person program in San Francisco, offering free tuition and large compute credits to its first 50 students starting in 2027. While the training, networking, and industry access are substantial, participants must cover their own housing and living costs in the city, and the program does not grant college credits or guaranteed jobs.
   

4. CHP investigating early morning shooting on Bay Bridge (sfchronicle.com) — An early-morning shooting on the Bay Bridge east of Treasure Island left one man wounded and briefly shut all eastbound I-80 lanes while CHP officers from the San Francisco office investigated. Traffic was halted again in the afternoon for a follow-up search, and authorities are still looking for a suspect, asking anyone with information to contact the California Highway Patrol.
