Pools Free In SF During Heat Wave

Seven pools will be free (check the list) the city's Recreation and Park Department announced.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — High temperatures in San Francisco has prompted the city's Recreation and Park Department to offer free admission to seven city pools through Wednesday.

Pools with free admission include Balboa, Coffman, Hamilton, Martin Luther King Jr., Mission, North Beach and Sava pools, parks officials said.

Midday lap swims and lessons will continue as scheduled, but the pools will keep at least one lane open for anyone seeking relief from the heat. Recreational and family swim will go on at designated hours, parks officials said.

Temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday in the city could reach between the mid 70s and upper 80s, according to the National Weather Service. — Bay City News
