Prime Rib Pop-Up Gains San Francisco Following

It's only available on Fridays and Saturdays, one seating only, and reservations are required.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — If you're craving prime rib there's a new option for you in San Francisco.

Prime Steakhouse has opened a pop-up restaurant in the Sunset neighborhood. The thick cuts of medium rare prime rib are available two nights a week, according to SF Eater.

Owner and chef Edward Dang says Prime Steakhouse is not as stuffy as other steakhouses, and it’s in a more residential part of town, close to workers who no longer have to commute to offices.

It's only open on Friday and Saturday nights, with the seating between 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Dang says the single seating means the prime rib is cooked to a “perfect medium rare” for all diners.

The single seating also lessens the shortage of wait staff that's being felt all over the City.

The pop-up restaurant is at 1055 Taraval St. Reservations are required, and can be made on OpenTable.
