Rally Planned For Golden Gate Bridge On Sunday

Protestors will urge for the release of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange and former Air Force intelligence analyst Daniel Hale.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The antiwar activist group Code Pink is planning a Golden Gate Bridge walk and a rally starting at noon on Sunday in support of two people it considers political prisoners.

The protest, starting near the southern end of the bridge, in San Francisco, and ending at the San Francisco home of Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco), is to include delivery of letters to Pelosi urging her to work for the release of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange and former Air Force intelligence analyst Daniel Hale.

Assange is being held in London at the request of the United States related to his publication of a variety of leaked classified U.S. government information.
