Sandhill Crane, Red-Tailed Hawk, Raven: Photos Of The Day

This trio of bird photos will delight bird watchers.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Ted Simon has provided a real treat for bird enthusiasts.

The Sandhill crane was photographed in Lodi. According to Visit Lodi, "Each evening at dusk, hundreds — sometimes thousands — of Sandhill cranes leave the areas where they have been foraging for food and return to their winter roosting grounds at the Woodbridge Ecological Reserve and Cosumnes River Preserve near Lodi, and at Staten Island in the Delta."

Ted tells Patch that the raven and hawk were snapped north of the Golden Gate Bridge.
