SF Firefighters, Police Help Woman Deliver Twins In Car

Authorities assisted a woman who was on her way to the hospital in San Francisco Friday night.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — First responders in San Francisco helped a woman caught in a precarious predicament Friday evening.

The woman was on her way to the hospital to give birth when she was forced to pull over. Responding offers arrived at the parked car and "quickly used their training and skills to assist and comfort the family and newborn," the San Francisco Fire Department tweeted.

As more firefighters arrived on scene, another baby was delivered. Both babies and the mother was taken to a nearby hospital.

The three of them "are healthy and will be okay," officials said.
