SF Sword Attack: Man Injured In Street Assault

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A person was stabbed in San Francisco on Friday night by a suspect armed with a sword, police said.

Officers responded to Oak and Fillmore streets around 9:50 p.m. after being alerted to the stabbing outside the Church of 8 Wheels roller skating rink, Officer Robert Rueca said.

A victim walked past a suspect reportedly wearing a "Make America Great Hat" when the suspect's hat came off his head.

The suspect then took out the sword and attacked the victim, who was struck on the hand. The suspect ran away, and the victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.

Police had not located the suspect or weapon as of Sunday morning.
