Sunken Boat Located in the Bay
Thirty people were aboard the 34-foot boat Khaleesi when it overturned, then sank over the weekend.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A boat has been located in the San Francisco Bay after it capsized and sunk on Saturday afternoon, sending 30 people onboard into the water, police said Monday evening.
Using sonar equipment, the Police Department's marine unit began searching the Bay for the sunken boat Monday morning.
A salvage company will now assess the 34-foot Khaleesi and develop a plan to raise it and take it to an area where it can be inspected, police said.

Around 4 p.m. Saturday, the boat capsized about 100 yards off of Pier 45, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
Some of the victims had become trapped under the hull, but bystanders, police, firefighters and Coast Guard crews rescued all 30 people within 32 minutes, Coast Guard officials said.

Eight people were hospitalized following the incident, according to fire officials.
Among the victims was a 4-year-old boy who was found unconscious and not breathing. Bystanders gave the child CPR and he was rushed to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was initially listed in critical
condition, fire officials said.
The 4-year-old's condition improved and he was released Monday, according to fire officials.
All of the victims are doing well, fire officials said.
