Coast Guard Crews Respond to Boat Taking on Water Near Duxbury Reef

Crews received a mayday broadcast from the distressed vessel on Sunday.

U.S. Coast Guard crews on Sunday assisted a distressed charter fishing vessel that was taking on water near Duxbury Reef in Marin County.

There were nine people aboard the boat Superfish, according to U.S. Coast Guard officials, who received a mayday broadcast from the distressed vessel near Bolinas in Marin County on Sunday morning.

Crews responded to the vessel and safely removed seven passengers. The master of the vessel and a crewmember stayed aboard to try to combat the flooding.

Crews were also able to assist in helping to dewater the vessel and it was towed to Pier 45 in San Francisco.
