Colorful Sunrise Over Bald Hill Preserve: Photo Of The Day

MARIN COUNTY, CA — Patch reader Brian B. Beard captured this colorful sunrise photo from Bald Hill Preserve above the town of San Anselmo.
"A weekly, early morning pilgrimage to view the sunrise over the bay is both a good way to end the week and welcome in a new week," Beard said. "Winter rains bring spring wildflowers, followed by summertime fog, and in September, autumn light conducive to photography. This year many of the sunrises are more colorful than normal due to the high concentration of particulate matter from ongoing fires."
