Green Chautauqua: Climate Crisis- The Case for a Carbon Tax

This Friday, March 13, learn about the carbon tax, an economic solution to climate change that reflects the true cost of fossil fuels.

Dr. Peter Joseph of The Citizen’s Climate Lobby will talk about the carbon tax as an effective policy to address the climate crisis this Friday, March 13, at the First Presbyterian Church, 72 Kensington Rd, San Anselmo at 7:30pm.

Dr. Joseph is group leader of the Marin Chapter at Citizens Climate Lobby and an emergency physician trained to help educate the public about the devastating impacts of global warming. He is the co-author of The Little Engine That Could: Carbon Fee and Dividend, the Popular Choice winner in the U.S. Carbon Price category of this year’s MIT Climate CoLab contest. Dr. Joseph will propose an economic solution to the climate crisis that can be acceptable to conservatives and progressives alike.

First Presbyterian Church of San Anselmo brings this event to the community in collaboration with Sustainable Fairfax, 350Marin, Green Sangha, Marin Water Coalition, Sustainable San Rafael, Watershed Alliance of Marin, Citizen’s Climate Lobby.
