Help restore the lakeshore in front of the
Log Cabin by removing invasive periwinkle (Vinca
major) and French broom and then planting native bunch grasses. Meet at on
the Phoenix Lake dam. Arrive before 9 am and the gate at Natalie Coffin
Greene Park will be open to allow volunteers to drive up and park next to the
dam. Folks arriving after 9 am or leaving before noon must procure their own
parking. Directions from Sir Francis Drake Blvd in Ross: turn west onto
Lagunitas Rd and drive 1 mile to the end into Natalie Coffin Greene Park.

events are suitable for ages 13 and older.
Age 8 or up
can volunteer at habitat restoration events.
Volunteers under the age of 18 must have a permission form signed by a
parent or guardian.
Volunteers under the age of 16 must have a parent present at the event.
Please wear close-toed shoes and long pants, dress for variable weather
and bring a reusable water bottle. We provide breakfast snacks, water, tools
and inspiration. Rain
cancellation and fire closure information can be found by calling after 7:30
a.m. on the day of the event.
