Man Arrested In Stun Gun Assault, Robbery In Fairfax
Jertell Hathorn, 20, of Marin City, was arrested Wednesday and booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of multiple charges.

FAIRFAX, CA – A man accused of robbery and assault with a stun gun in January was arrested Wednesday in Fairfax, authorities said.
On Jan. 17, Fairfax police received several reports about men yelling and running in the area of Marinda Drive. Residents also reported the men speeding cars down the street.
At that time, police determined that the victims, who live in Salinas in Monterey County, came to Fairfax for an arranged meeting with the suspects. The victims, who did not cooperate with investigators, said that $2,000 in counterfeit money and an unknown amount of marijuana were taken from them.

"One victim was kicked and beaten by three suspects," Fairfax police Chief Christopher Morin said. "Additionally, he was hit with a large rock and assaulted with a stun gun. The suspects also beat on the victim's car with a gun before fleeing the area."
Fairfax police Detective Corporal Jonathan Judge has been following leads on this case ever since January, Morin said.

"Through his tireless investigation he was able to identify the main suspect, who when he learned we were onto him, attempted to dissuade a witness in this case," Morin said. "Corporal Judge ultimately obtained admissions from the suspect. The investigation was reviewed by the District Attorney's office and an arrest warrant was obtained for the suspect's arrest."
Jertell Hathorn, 20, of Marin City, was arrested Wednesday and booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of attempted robbery, battery, conspiracy and dissuading a witness, according to the jail's booking log. He was being held on $100,000 bail.
