Marin Court Sting Finds 2 Driving With Licenses Just Suspended for DUI
Officers staked out offenders who had been told by a San Rafael judge not to drive or who had their license suspended.

Two people were arrested Monday in a sting at Marin County Superior Court targeting people who drove from court despite having suspended licenses because of DUIs, San Rafael police said.
Officers conducted the undercover operation between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday and staked out offenders who had been told by a judge not to drive or who had their license suspended, according to police.

Of the six offenders followed from court to their vehicles, two proceeded to get behind the wheel and drive away in their vehicles, police said.
Martin Prior, 46, of San Rafael, was cited and released for driving with a suspended license for DUI. His vehicle was impounded for 30 days, police said.

Keyanie Arleese Joseph, 25, of Vacaville, was also stopped on suspicion of driving with a suspended license for DUI, but during a search of her vehicle, officers also located suspected marijuana and forged credit cards, according to police. Joseph was booked into jail and her vehicle was also impounded for 30 days, police said.
The court sting was funded by a grant from the state’s Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, according to police.
