Motorcyclist, Passenger Hospitalized in Suspected DUI Crash After Fleeing From Mill Valley Police
The motorcyclist sped away and the officer pursued until the rider exited the highway at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, and crashed, cops say.

Two motorcycle riders were seriously injured when they crashed after briefly fleeing Mill Valley police Saturday, police said Monday.
A Mill Valley police officer first spotted the two men on a black Yamaha motorcycle on the East Blithedale Avenue overpass over U.S. Highway 101 at about 2 a.m., police said.

The motorcycle rider appeared to be intoxicated so the officer followed him onto northbound Highway 101, police said.
The rider sped along the highway at nearly 100 mph until slowing near the Paradise Drive off-ramp. The officer turned on his emergency lights to pull the rider over, but the motorcyclist sped away and the officer pursued until the rider exited the highway at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, police said.

The rider lost control of the bike, crashing just off highway, police said.
The rider suffered moderate injuries and his passenger suffered major injuries. Both were taken to Marin General Hospital for treatment.
Once released from the hospital, the rider will be booked into jail on suspicion of felony driving under the influence resulting in injury, police said.
