Mt. Tam Day of Thanks: Inaugural OneTam Volunteer Event: Habitat Restoration & Wreath Workshop
Saturday November 22, 2014 10 am - 2pm Bon Tempe Dam Parking Lot

Give thanks to a Bay Area icon by volunteering for the “Mt. Tam Day of Thanks.” This is the inaugural workday-celebration for the “OneTam” initiative of the Tamalpais Lands Collaborative. To learn more about this and the other special projects being hosted, go to www.parksconservancy.org.
Help us restore oak woodland and grassland habitat by removing Douglas-fir seedlings and then use the evergreen branches to make holiday decorations. All wreath and decoration supplies will be provided. The habitat restoration starts promptly at 10 a.m. After a lunch break, the workshop will run until 2 p.m. This event is FREE but limited to 30 participants, so please reserve a space. The whole family is welcome! Meet at 10 a.m. at the Bon Tempe Dam parking lot. Drive up Bolinas-Fairfax Road from Fairfax and turn left onto Sky Oaks Road. Follow Sky Oaks Road past ranger station and kiosk. After a 1/4 mile, turn right onto Bon Tempe Road (a gravel road) and drive 1/4 mile to parking lot.
