Need Juice? Point Reyes National Seashore Installs 3 Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

They're even free to use!

Three electric vehicle charging stations have been installed at the Bear Valley Visitor’s Station at the Point Reyes National Seashore, spokesman John Dell’Osso said.

The stations are free to the public and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

They use solar electricity generated by photovoltaic cells at the Bear Valley Visitor’s Center.

The Point Reyes National Seashore generates approximately 35 percent of its energy from 18 photovoltaic solar panels on buildings throughout the Seashore, Dell’Osso said.

The Point Reyes National Seashore also has eight alternative fuel vehicles in its fleet, including five all electric Toyota RAV4 vehicles, Dell’Osso said.
