Power Out, San Anselmo, Fairfax? North Bay Power Restoration Progressing After Weekend Storm

Over the weekend, the storms knocked out power to more than 157,000 Bay Area customers. Were you one of them?

More than 2,000 PG&E customers in the Bay Area were still without power Monday morning following the weekend rain and windstorm, utility officials said.

As of 8 a.m., about 2,070 customers were without power -- 1,000 in the North Bay, 410 in the East Bay, 340 on the Peninsula, 210 in the South Bay and 110 in San Francisco, according to PG&E.

About 157,410 PG&E customers have lost power at some point since Friday in the Bay Area.

Two large storms blew through the region in the past 72 hours, causing downed trees and power lines, utility officials said.

PG&E crews expect to have power restored to all remaining customers by the end of the day Monday.

If anyone sees downed power lines, they should stay away and call 911 and assume they are energized and extremely dangerous, according to the utility.
