San Rafael Police Utilizing Social Media Platform to Post Lost, Stolen Items
The agency is starting to post images of recovered items in the hopes of reuniting them with their proper owners.

The San Rafael Police Department has launched a new social media website in an effort to reunite people with their lost or stolen property.
The department’s Pinterest site will be used to post photos of items either turned in by the public or found during an investigation.

Anyone who finds an item they believe is theirs will need to have proper documentation such as a serial number, receipt or police report for verification.
