THIS FRIDAY: Sustainable Fairfax Film Night- "Living in the Future: Lammas"

This film shows how the first Eco-Village was made in Wales. Stay for a post-film discussion with authors of the Sustainable Revolution.

Come to the Fairfax Women’s Club, 46 Park Road in Fairfax at 7:30pm this Friday, September 12, to see the film “Living in the Future,” a poetic tale of nine families as they create beautiful natural homes and plentiful gardens from sheep-grazed soil in Wales. In the face of legal battles and local hostility, they live with an ongoing pressure meet their targets and show success for the UK’s first planned ecoVillage, Lammas.

Post Film Talk and Discussion: Juliana Birnbaum and Louis Fox, authors of the book, Sustainable Revolution: Permaculture in EcoVillages, Urban Farms and Communities Worldwide, will talk about their book and lead a discussion about the themes from the film.

This film is part of the Sustainable Fairfax film series and is co-sponsored by Fairfax Volunteers and Fairfax Parks and Recreation.
