The Heart of the Stranger

San Francisco Theological Seminary & the Spiritual Life Ministry at Allen Temple Baptist Church presents Spirituality & Hermenutics Forum 1: The Heart of the Stranger.

Rev. Dr. James McDonald  and Dr. Annette Schellenberg of San Francisco Theological Seminary will give presentations considering the scriptural position and wisdom on strangers and foreigners, and its implications for the twenty-first century church. This forum will begin a new series of events presented by the Spiritual Life Ministry at Allen Temple Baptist, the purpose of which will be to examine how the various disciplines and topics that exist in the religious academy merge with our everyday lived spirituality.

Thou shall not oppress a stranger; you know the heart of a stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. (Exodus 23:9)
