Thirteen Suspected 'Johns' Named in Marin Prostitution Sting

SAN RAFAEL, CA- A total of 13 men were arrested in a recent human trafficking operation at San Rafael hotels, police announced.

According to San Rafael Police Sgt. Scott Eberle, the operation was conducted on Friday in conjunction with the Central Marin Police Authority, the Marin County Sheriff's office and the Marin County Probation Department.

"The focus of the operation was to promote awareness about Human Trafficking and educate the 'johns or purchasers' about their conduct," Eberle said in a news release.

In addition to the 13 men who were arrested and ticketed for solicitation of prostitution, two female suspected "sex workers" were contacted and offered the services of Community Violence Solutions, Eberle said.

"Advocate services were offered to two adult females who were suspected of being at the hotels for the purpose of prostitution, but they both declined their services," the sergeant said.

Police identified the following arrestees:

• Pedro Galvez Garcia a 43 year old male from Novato
• Joseph Ostler a 37 year old male from Novato
• Robert Kaehler a 42 year old male from Santa Rosa
• Efren Guitierrez a 39 year old male from San Rafael
• Carlos Quinonez Arevalo a 19 year old male from Novato
• Milsar Deleon Lopez a 33 year old male from Novato
• Vilmar Castanza Cox a 30 year old male from San Rafael
• Edgar Fraire Dominguez a 33 year old male from San Rafael
• Ernesto Molina Alvarado a 31 year old male from San Rafael
• Milmar Alvarado Trujillo a 26 year old male from San Rafael
• Horace Harris a 31 year old male with no city of residence
• Jose Salinas Lopez a 58 year old male from San Rafael
• Juan Poroj Cux a 42 year old male from San Rafael
