Waking up with the waves on Friday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your San Clemente Patch surf report.
Well, if you have the day off, catch up on some Z's. Yep, the surf is still pretty small and we're likely to see those conditions take a turn for the worse throughout the day, especially once that storm moves in.
Most spots are semi-clean early on, with some texture on it already. We've got a combination of some very minor west northwest and west southwest windswells and a touch of south southwesterly energy in the water.

That's giving us some weak and mushy broken-up lines, with maybe a few decent ones, with the small wave gear. Most San Clemente spots are running about knee-high, with the standout breaks pulling thigh-high waves, with maybe a few waist-high sets.
At 10:41 later this morning, the tide drops to a 0.2 low which will have many spots needing water mid to late morning. The tide then climbs back up to a 3.1 high at 5:48 this evening.

If you're grab a quick session before the storm, throw on at least the 3/2 fullsuit or a 4/3 and possibly the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 58 degrees.
Good luck out there!
