Well there's still a fair amount of action, so go get it while it lasts. Most of this stretch of coast is hanging in the playful size range.
The conditions are clean and glassy early on, with a mix of some fading south southwest swell and some decent westerly energy in the water. That recipe is making for some fairly broken-up crumbly lines, with a few racy sections.

Most spots are kinda soft due the mid-morning high tide, but should improve later in the day.
Most breaks in San Clemente are pulling knee- to stomach-high waves, with the top combo spots pulling chest-high waves, with maybe a plus set.

At 8:42 this morning, the tide pushes up to 5.1 high which is going to slow down many spots throughout the morning. Your best bet: wait for that tide to turn around and drop a bit as it eventually drains out to a negative 0.1 low at 3:05 this afternoon.
If you're going to grab a session, throw on at least the 3/2 fullsuit or a 4/3, with that water temp feeling a bit chilly and most spots averaging between 56 and 57 degrees.
See ya in the water!
