Gardeners can cut down their costs by saving seeds from season to season.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — The Svalbard Global Seed Vault in Norway stores some 400,000 food crop seed samples from around the world, providing security for the world's food supply against catastrophe — whether natural or caused by human intervention.
Home gardeners can do their part by storing seeds from their own gardens from year-t0-year. It not only fulfills the lofty goal of food security but it saves money, too. The same can be done with flowers.
