SAN LEANDRO, CA — This photo of Red Oak Leaf lettuce was taken after Thursday's rain and Friday morning's frost. San Leandro's Miyo Burnett grew it and said this "shows how resilient it is, even with freezing temps and hard rain. An excellent lettuce to harvest a few leaves at a time, and just ideal on leftover turkey sandwiches."

Thanks for the advice, Miyo! We appreciate your expertise as a Master Gardener.
