Delaware Street to Close for PG&E Work

The month-long closure will begin Wednesday morning.

A stretch of Delaware Street in San Mateo will be closed for at least a month beginning Wednesday to allow PG&E crews to improve pipelines in the area.

No through traffic will be allowed for the duration of the project, which is estimated to last four to six weeks, according to city officials.

PG&E will be installing automated valves at Delaware and Birch. The valves can be closed to stop the flow of natural gas for maintenance or during emergencies.
