• Man arrested following crime spree in San Mateo, police say (newsbreak.com) — San Mateo police arrested a man early Saturday after a hit-and-run on West 40th Avenue led to a series of alleged home and vehicle break-ins across nearby streets. Officers say they tracked the suspect through multiple incidents, ultimately finding him inside a parked car with brass knuckles and a knife tool. He was booked into San Mateo County Jail, and neighbors' vehicles and property were reportedly rummaged through.
   

• Bay FC Mom's Clinic, Presented by Sutter Health (bayfc.com) — A free Bay FC Mom's Clinic is coming to Aragon High School in San Mateo on Sunday, Oct. 25, giving local moms a chance to learn soccer basics and build confidence on the field. Coaches from the Women's Coaching Alliance will lead high-energy drills, with Bay FC and Sutter Health staff on hand plus snacks, drinks, and swag. Space is limited and RSVPs are required.
