San Mateo County Reports 63 New Coronavirus Cases, No Deaths
There were 50 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in San Mateo County as of Monday, of which 16 were being treated in intensive care units.
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — San Mateo County Health reported 63 additional cases of the coronavirus Monday.
The latest report, which covers a two-day period going back to Saturday, brings the countywide COVID-19 case count to 3,599.
The county reported no additional coronavirus-related fatalities Monday, leaving its death toll at 108.

Elsewhere around the Bay Area and beyond, Gov. Gavin Newsom said Monday that the state has added Marin and Monterey counties to its COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic watchlist to monitor the spread of the virus.
Marin and Monterey counties joined Contra Costa and Solano counties as the Bay Area representatives on the list while Santa Clara County was removed over the weekend.
About a dozen more counties across the state like los Angeles and San Diego where cases are ballooning are also being monitored, according to Newsom.

There were 223,982 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 5,988 coronavirus-related deaths in California as of Tuesday afternoon according to data from Johns Hopkins University.
The United States had 2,922,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 130,208 coronavirus-related fatalities as of Monday afternoon.
