Blues Singer Tia Carroll is a local sensation and award-winning singer. Tia Carroll is a blues, soul and R&B powerhouse who's toured internationally and now brings her talented back-up band Hard Work with her to perform at George's.
Carroll's acclaimed live shows include originals from her self-titled CD and a mix of classic covers for an high-energy evening of entertainment. Tia Carroll is constantly compared to legendary female singers such as Tina Turner, Koko Taylor and Aretha Franklin. Sure her power and sassy style of storytelling may be similar, but Tia Carroll has her own unique star power that’s evident in her new self-titled album.
Tia has toured with legendary blues icons Jimmy McCracklin & Sugar Pie DeSanto to Canada, France and Italy where she left a great impression. Tia Carroll was featured during the Jazzkarr festival in Tallinn Estonia, awarded 2007’s West Coast Female Blues Vocalist and 2008’s Traditional Blues Woman of the Year award from the Jus Blues Music Foundation.
