Impeachment Rally Scheduled In Marin County: 'Impeach & Remove'

SAN RAFAEL, CA — Marin County residents are expected to turn out Tuesday to call for President Donald Trump's impeachment and removal from office.

The "Marin Impeach & Remove Rally" is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. at San Rafael City Plaza. The rally coincides with demonstrations scheduled across the country.

Moveon.org is hosting hundreds of "Nobody Is Above The Law" events Tuesday nationwide. The events are expected to be "visible, family-friendly, public gatherings to demonstrate to our lawmakers that their constituents are behind them to defend the Constitution — and that Trump has left them no alternative to uphold their oath of office but to support impeachment and removal," according to Moveon.org.

The rally at San Rafael City Plaza is the only planned event in Marin County, according to the map of events on Moveon.org. The plaza is at 1000 4th Street.

An impeachment vote is expected this week by the U.S. House of Representatives.
