Marin County Nursing Home Reports Coronavirus Outbreak
State health officials released new information on nursing homes reporting coronavirus outbreaks, including one in Marin County.
SAN RAFAEL, CA — California Department of Health officials recently released the names of nursing homes across the state with outbreaks of the coronavirus, including one located in Marin County.
Pine Ridge Care Center in San Rafael is the only nursing home in the county with an outbreak, according to the site. Fewer than 11 staff members have tested positive for COVID-19.

The list encompasses a "point in time snapshot" of the 86 percent of skilled-nursing facilities in California that have reported data within the last 24 hours.
Of the 1,224 nursing homes in the state, there have been 258 with at least one confirmed COVID-19 case, in either a patient or a health care worker, as of Friday.
