Four vehicles with four tires each equals 16 slashed tires.

A couple reported that an unknown suspect had slashed all four tires of their four vehicles on the 100-block of Clorinda Ave. some time between noon and 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 12.
On Aug. 14, an officer was dispatched to 124 Merrydale Road, where a victim said his 1994 gray Acura Integra was missing from its parking spot. He said it must have been stolen between 12:30 a.m. and 7:47 a.m. when he woke up. The victim said he had locked his car and had both sets of keys. The Acura was entered into the state stolen vehicle system.
A suspect entered Marin Beverage Outlet at 855 Third St. and took at 750-milliliter bottle of Stolichnaya 100-proof vodka at about 6:36 p.m. on Aug. 14. He was detained by the store owner until officers arrived. Jesus Rafael Caamal-Ruiz, 27, of San Rafael, was booked in Marin County Jail on suspicion of misdemeanor petty theft and disorderly conduct while under the influence of alcohol.

Officers responded to a report that a burglary was in progress at Smokey's Deli at 21 Golden Gate Drive at 1:52 a.m. on Aug. 17. When they arrived, they saw a suspect unsuccessfully attempting to break into an ATM and then going to the cash register, where he took money. Clarence Thompson III, 30, of Novato, was booked in Marin County Jail on suspicion felony burglary and possessing burglary tools.
