Man Arrested For Drugs, Violating Restraining Order: Police

SAN RAFAEL, CA — Police seized a large amount of illegal drugs while investigating a domestic violence report early Thursday morning in San Rafael.

Police received a call at 12:05 a.m. about a man "beating up" a woman in the bathroom at the San Rafael Yacht Harbor at 557 E. Francisco Blvd., San Rafael police Lt. Dan Fink said. The caller reported hearing a woman screaming.

Police arrived and found a man and a woman in the bathroom. The man was identified as Erick Talbot, 45, of San Rafael.

Police determined that the woman had a domestic violence restraining order against Talbot, Fink said, and he was placed under arrest. Police searched Talbot and found nearly a third of an ounce of heroin, more than an ounce of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and cash.

Talbot was booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of violating a domestic violence restraining order, possessing a controlled substance for sale, and possessing narcotics for sale.
