Red Flag Warning Issued For Marin County
Due to hot and dry conditions, a red flag warning is in effect for Marin and the North Bay hills from 9 p.m. Thursday to 8 a.m. Saturday.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – With the continuing heat wave raising the risk of wildfires, the National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for Marin County and the North Bay hills from 9 p.m. Thursday to 8 a.m. Saturday.
Hot and dry conditions with warm, gusty winds and low humidities will combine to create extreme fire growth potential, contributing to wildfire conditions that firefighting resources may be unable to control, according to the NWS.
Due to the red flag warning, all watershed land use permits have been suspended, according to the Marin Municipal Water District. Mt. Tamalpais watershed lands are closed to public motor vehicle traffic on Sky Oaks Road beyond the Sky Oaks Ranger Station. Natalie Coffin Greene Park is also closed to vehicle traffic.
