San Rafael Mom Murdered 10 Years Ago; $50K Reward Offered
Sunday marked the 10th anniversary of the murder of Ashley Yamauchi, whose body was found on Dec. 15, 2008, behind a bar in San Rafael.

SAN RAFAEL, CA – Sunday marked the 10th anniversary of the murder of Ashley Yamauchi, whose body was found on Dec. 15, 2008, behind a bar in San Rafael.
The case remains unsolved. There is a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of her killer, according to San Rafael police.
Yamauchi, a 33-year-old single mom with an 8-year-old daughter, was working full-time as a nanny when she walked from work to Fourth Street Tavern. Her body was found the following morning in a parking lot behind the bar.

Police characterized the discovery as a "very violent crime scene," and said there was evidence Yamauchi had been sexually assaulted.
San Rafael police have conducted an "exhaustive" investigation and interviewed potential suspects and witnesses, but there has not been enough evidence to make an arrest.

Ashley was last seen in the parking lot behind the 4th Street Tavern on Monday, December 15th. Her body was found the following morning.
