Both meetings will provide the public with information on plans to develop a 92-acre, 1.3-million-square-foot area once owned by Chevron. In September, Bishop Ranch owner Sunset Development declared their intent to purchase the property, and reached out to the San Ramon Planning Commission and City Council to share their preliminary vision for the property. Hearings were held on Dec. 6 and Jan. 24 to share broad visions for the property, which includes:
- 125,000 square feet of mixed-used retail and entertainment
- 1,250 apartments
- 1,000 homes and condominiums
- Central Park, pocket parks and open space
- Buffer to south of development
- Transit center
At this time, no formal development application has been filed.
