SAN RAMON, CA — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man suspected of burglarizing a San Ramon business on Christmas eve. The suspect allegedly took thousands of dollars of electronics from the business. No other details are available but surveillance camera captured video of the suspect.
The burglary occurred less than a week after two suspects allegedly stole packages from homes along Valley Creek Lane in nearby Danville and after police and town officials issued a reminder to the community about a rash of car burglaries and thefts from cars parked in Danville, Alamo and Blackhawk. Since Dec. 1, four cases of petty theft from a vehicle have been reported in the Alamo/Blackhawk area, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office.
Between Dec. 11 through Dec. 20, Danville has been hit with 12 auto burglaries and three thefts from unsecured vehicles. Danville Police Chief Allan Shields said most of the stolen items had been left in plain sight. Other Tri-Valley cities have seen a spike in car burglaries this month.
