San Ramon Vegetation Fire Sparks Reminder From SRVFPD
Monday's blaze broke out shortly after 11:30 a.m. at 18475 Bollinger Canyon Road and was quickly extinguished by SRVFPD crews.

SAN RAMON, CA — Following a small vegetation blaze that broke out Monday in San Ramon, crews with the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District are reminding residents about the dangers of cutting dry grass during the hottest hours of the day.
Monday's blaze broke out shortly after 11:30 a.m. at 18475 Bollinger Canyon Road and was quickly extinguished by SRVFPD crews, saving a nearby home from flames.
There were no reports of injuries or significant damage, other than a mower that was nearly destroyed in the blaze.

The SRVFPD is advising residents to cut dry grass in the early morning, when temperatures are lower and humidity is higher. The district also reminds residents to have quick access to a fire extinguisher and cell phone when working with landscaping tools.
