Attempted Suicide Shuts Down Pacific Coast Highway, Santa Monica

Northbound lanes are partially closed and delays are expected.

SANTA MONICA, CA – An attempted suicide forced the closure of northbound lanes of Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica Thursday morning. The lane closures were for investigation purposes and should reopen soon, according to Santa Monica Police Department Lt. Saul Rodriguez.

There were no signs of foul play and the victim was transported to a local hospital in serious condition, he said. All southbound lanes remain open.
