2 Workers Trapped In Trench In Sherman Oaks
Los Angeles Firefighters rescued the two workers trapped in a trench in Sherman Oaks. one worker was critically injured.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Los Angeles Firefighters rescued two workers trapped by a block of concrete in a trench in Sherman Oaks.
One worker was in fair condition while the second person rescued is in critical condition, according to Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
"The second patient extricated has more serious injuries and is being transported to a local trauma center in critical condition," added Prange.

The rescue effort happened in the 5300 block of Tyrone Avenue, according to Prange. Traffic was diverted from the area as crews worked to save the pair. The circumstances leading up to the accident remained unclear.
The trench is in a residential neighborhood just off Chandler Boulevard.
