β’ Sonoma County advances rules to ease crop swaps for vineyards, orchards (pressdemocrat.com) β Sonoma County supervisors just backed rule changes that make it easier for vineyard and orchard owners to temporarily swap crops without triggering costly new permits, aiming to help during the wine industry downturn. The revisions to the long-debated VESCO rules still need a final vote in September but have drawn support from farm groups and little opposition from environmental advocates.
