'Clean Team' to Again Take to Peninsula Streets
The San Mateo County Sheriff's Activities League's "clean team" will begin again on Nov. 8.

The following is a news release from the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office:
After a successful start earlier this year, the S.A.L Clean Team will begin again on Saturday, November 8th 2014, and meet every second and fourth Saturday of the month from November through May. The Clean Team offers youth with mentorship, education, and leadership, and also provides participants the chance to make a difference where they live while providing community members with information on upcoming clean-up events.
Leaders pair with youth to provide the younger participants with mentoring and educational activities designed to foster growth and knowledge of how to appropriately care for their environment. Every fourth Saturday, participants will clean local areas within the community, while guest speakers and field trips are scheduled for the group throughout the year.
